Reblogged from THE POET BY DAY, the journey in poem:
With a nod to Paula Kuitenbrouwer (Mindful Drawing) for her Sonntagsfreude (Sunday Happiness) post on January 6th.
At the flower market this morning
I thought of us and our naked lives
Did you notice the star lilies bowing
and giant calyxes unfurling themselves?
A painter's pallette of colors there
fretting in terra-cotta, feral and windblown
A fabulous fusion of scent and form…
I can't post a comment so the next best thing to do is to re-blog this incredible writing from the heart of a wonderful poet. Thank You, Jamie - with tears in my eyes......
